Received Christ as Savior at age 11 during a Vacation Bible School
Grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana and attended Bible Baptist Church as a teenager.
Graduated in 1970 from Gerstmeyer High Scool
Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1972
Married Donna Provines in 1976
Graduated in 1977 from Baptist Bible College of Springfield, Missouri with a GTH and BS in theology.
Began full time ministry in 1977
Pastored Grace Baptist Church (Orleans, IN) from 1977-80.
In 1977, daughter Rachel was born. She now is married to Pastor Jim Larger of Revival Baptist Church and lives in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. They have a son named Drew (2010).
In 1979, son Jason was born. He now is married to Kimberly (Hewitt) and is an assistant pastor at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NV. They have three children: Scott (2004), Madelynn (2006), and Micah (2008).
Served as Assistant Pastor at Baptist Temple (Kermit, TX) from 1980-82.
In 1981, son Jeremy was born. He now is married to Julie (Doyel) and is an evangelist out of the Lyford Bible Church. They have two children Katie (2007) & Ethan (2009)
Pastored Liberty Baptist Church (Grants, NM) from 1982-83
In 1983, daughter Rebecca was born. She lost a battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord in 1988.
Pastored Live Oak Baptist Church (Sonora, TX) in 1983
Became pastor of Lyford Bible Church in 1984
In 2001, Pastor and Miss Donna celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
In 2004, Pastor and Miss Donna became grandpa and grandma. They now have five grandchildren.
In 2007, Pastor finished 30 years in full time service.
In 2009, Pastor celebrated 25 years as pastor of the Lyford Bible Church.
